The path is really beautiful
The Cholera Trail may not have the most sparkling name, but it is a very popular walk. It was originally used as a “by-pass”. As protection against cholera sufferers who wandered from Kaltern to Kurtatsch.
You start directly at the Hotel Traminerhof and walk towards the Rathausplatz. From there you follow the J.v.Payer Straße until you reach the Zallingerstraße, follow the main street a bit and then turn left into the Steinackerstraße. After 30 meters you will see the sign Choleraweg (CH). Walk through orchards to the Höllentalbach stream, then left along the Weinstraße, past the miniature golf and back to our house at the Traminerhof.
The path is particularly beautiful at spring time and in autumn
Also suitable for a walk in the rain
Great with the whole family or for jogging
