Awesome view from “Sitzkofel“
Your hike starts at the main square of Kurtatsch and goes steeply up the Obergasse to the upper square, where you follow the road to the right. At the next fountain continue over the shooting stand for about 50m until you reach the forest path (mark 5a). Follow this path and soon enter the Lochweg (mark. 5) to Graun. You turn off in Graun and enjoy a great view of the lowlands. To return, take the “old Graunerweg”, which branches off to the right after the Gasthof Goldener Adler in front of St.-Georg-Kirche and joins the new Grauner Weg at the “Kehr”. Tip: Shortly after St. George’s Church there is a wonderful view (Sitzkofel) of the southern valley!
