A ruin full of history
An exciting hike with breathtaking views in Überetsch – from Klughammer via Rosszähne to the Leuchtenburg above the Lake Caldaro.
The hike begins at the Klughammer car park on Lake Caldaro. From the car park on trail no. 13 uphill to the forest road. Follow this in a southerly direction (mark 13A) around the Mitterberg. At the end, turn sharp left and follow trail nr. 13 up to the Rosszähnen. Dizzying views of the lowlands await you. Here you can also marvel at the natural spectacle of the warm holes. Following the markings further on, the trail leads to the Leuchtenburg ruins, a beautiful view to the Lake Caldaro. On trail nr. 13 the tour leads back to the starting point. Attention: directly at the light castle there is no possibility to stop for refreshments. Ideal however for a picnic.
