Gfrill – Lago Santo | 111
Plan your lunch at the Fichtenhof
From Tramin through fields of fruit trees and vineyards you pedal to Salurn. Here you find the language border, the end of the German cultural area in South Tyrol. The Haderburg castle clinging to the limestone cliff bears witness to an eventful history. But you continue for kilometers uphill to Gfrill. A stop at the Fichtenhof is worthwhile, especially their dumpling dishes are devine. From here you follow the European Long-Distance Trail E5 to Lago Santo. In summertime it invites you for a swim, otherwise it is quiet, peaceful and a treat to the eyes. Downhill on not too difficult trails to Salurn and back through the fields of fruit to Tramin.
