Easy circumnavigation of the Mitterberg
The easy tour takes you once around the Mitterberg. There are only a few metres of altitude to master. You start in the direction of Neumarkt and follow the Etschradweg in the direction of Bozen. You will pass by the beautiful vineyards. Shortly before the provincial capital, the cycle path winds its way back uphill along the old railway line towards Eppan. The old railway line on which you ride leads you through a few historic (short) tunnels. Sigmundskron Castle with the Messner Mountain Museum is on the route and well worth a visit. Continuing towards Kaltern you will have a wonderful view from the vineyards to Lake Caldaro. Back to Tramin you will come over the field paths.
