Unterland Round | 212
On a discovery tour through the Unterland
On this tour you will explore the South Tyrolean Unterland (area below Bozen). The Brenntalweg leads you past orchards and vineyards to the South. Past the town of Kurtatsch, to the wine village of Margreid, with the oldest grapevine in Europe. You continue to Kurtinig and up to Salurn. The southernmost point of South Tyrol. The language border between German and Italian. High above Salurn towers the Haderburg, a visit is well worth it. Via the cycle path on the other side of the valley, the route then continues to Neumarkt and finally back to Tramin.
This tour takes you through “small” venice
Above salurn resides the Haderburg, why not take a short hike up to the castle?
Before heading home don’t forget to get a delicious icecream at Arlecchino’s 😉
