Val di Cembra | 9
A quaint and sleepy valley – simply beautiful
Follow the cycle path along the Etsch river in a southerly direction until Lavis. From here turn left over the Müller Thurgau planted hillsides in the direction of Cembratal. Once we have reached a height we cycle in the constant up and down through the valley. On the other side of the valley we see the quarries which supply a large part of porphyry stones for the whole of Europe. Before Cavalese we must pay attention, so that we do not come onto the bypass road, which is closed to cyclists because of the tunnels. We quickly arrive at the San Lugano Pass. From now on we go downhill to Auer and on to Tramin.
For those who are in good shape, it is worth taking a detour from Cembra to Lago Santo/Heiliger See. Wonderful ride along the Lago di Stramentizzo.
